Parent + child consultation
We discuss the child's hair and scalp concerns, current routine, washing frequency, products, styling practices, protective styles and relevant history.

Digital hair & scalp analysis
Using magnified digital scalp imaging, we examine multiple areas of the scalp and hair. Where supported by the analysis system, findings may include:

These measurements are observations recorded during the appointment. They are not medical diagnoses.

Technology can show us patterns and measurements. The important part is understanding what those findings mean for your child's individual hair and scalp. Results are reviewed alongside the consultation, scalp images, hair texture, routine and concerns before recommendations are made.

Before you begin
Assessments are available for children of all ages and are adapted to the child's age, needs and comfort. The Little Novaé digital hair guides are written for children aged 6+ and are not intended for babies.
That's completely fine. Appointments are kept calm and unhurried, with time for your child to settle in. Nothing is forced, a parent stays in the room throughout, and we can pause whenever they need.
No. The assessment exists to help you understand your child's hair and scalp. You leave with personalised home-care direction and your guide. Where findings suggest medical assessment is appropriate, we will advise you accordingly.
